We in Disability:IN Southern California discussions ways to talk about how disability is the missing piece in the global conversation about diversity, equity and inclusion. The South California assists in local support, in workplace training and awareness.

Membership of the Affiliate for Organizations

The Affiliate is supported by organizations that have status as either Affiliate Members or Affiliate Partners based upon the makeup of their organization pursuant to the requirements listed herein for each status.

Affiliate Member Definition and Requirements: An Affiliate Member organization is defined as an organization that is for profit as either a corporation or an LLC. Requirements for joining as an Affiliate Member are as follows:

  1. Sign and agree to the terms of the Disability:IN Southern California Affiliate Letter of Intent

  2. Pay annual dues pursuant to the signed agreement

Affiliate Partner Definition and Requirements: An Affiliate Partner organization is defined as an organization that is not for profit or non-service providing as a corporation with a current tax exempt status. Requirements for joining as an Affiliate Partner are as follows:

  1. Sign and agree to the terms of the Disability:IN Southern California Partnership Agreement

Member Expectations: The minimum expected behaviors and responsibilities of the Affiliate Members and Affiliate Partners are outlined within the written agreements in Appendix A and B.  These agreements and any written deviations act as an official extension of these Bylaws. Active membership status is unlimited in time but evaluated annually against these agreements and expectations.

Termination of Membership: Disability:IN Southern California reserves the right to terminate membership if behavior warrants or any of the membership requirements are not met. Disability:IN Southern California also reserves the right to terminate membership for behavior unbecoming of a member organization that does not align with the mission and values of Disability:IN Southern California.

While a bit of nervousness and worry is normal in ordinary life, excessive terror and panic is prevalent in people with anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders differ from the normal stresses of everyday life.

Many people with anxiety disorders experience continuous terror, panic, or otherwise alertness with no clear indicator for such responses. Anxiety disorders can cause considerable disruption in people’s lives.  Sometimes work is that "outlet" and give a person with anxiety a mean to focus energy through a meaningful day at work!  

 

Note: The opposite can be true, but something else might be want is needed to manage the invisible disability.  

Regardless of invisible or visible disability Disability:IN Southern California would like partner with your companies to being best practices.
